The city where everywhere is a destination

Sketching the city is my passion I’ve always been captivated by the idea of place — not just as a backdrop, but as a character with its own heartbeat. Through my work, I imagine places in fantastical cities rooted in traditional and vernacular architecture, blending myth with memory, and imagination with place-making.

02

Urban design.

It asks what a city might look like if built not around roads and profit, but around meaning, nature, memory, and myth.

02

Every landmark tells a story.

These illustrations are more than drawings — they are portals. Each sketch, building, and map is part of an unfolding story: the fictional city of Bohemia, a place imagined through years of dreaming, studying, and sketching.

  • Long before cities rose from dust, a goddess dreamed of home.

Hestia, weary from the ceaseless wars of gods and mortals, longed for a place where the human spirit could thrive.

She turned to Ahura Mazda for wisdom. Together, they envisioned a sanctuary: a city shaped by beauty, balance, and belonging—unburdened by greed, untouched by conquest.

    Thus, a prophecy was born.

  • “Behold, as the waters recede,
A city of splendor shall arise.
Follow Apollo into the depths of night—There, golden isles await.
    But beware,
    For a flood shall come,
And only the vigilant shall remain.”

    — Oracle of Delphi, 1210 BCE

  • Visual: Sailing ships led by dolphins, islands rising on the horizon

Scroll effect: Map builds in layers from parchment to terrain

    Text:

Guided by dolphins and bound by purpose, a people called the Auremites sailed into the unknown.

They reached a chain of luminous islands wrapped in mist and crowned with waterfalls. There, they founded Aureum—a radiant experiment in harmony and design.

Trails meandered through groves. Lakes shimmered with sacred reflections. And architecture rose like a hymn to nature itself.

But paradise was never meant to last…

  • Visual: Earthquakes, erupting volcano, skyline shattering

Scroll effect: Buildings crumble and fall into sea layer by layer

    Text:

In 80 CE, a supervolcano erupted beneath the islands.

Earthquakes tore the land asunder. Mountains collapsed. The sea swallowed 87% of Aureum.

What remained was myth—whispers passed in sailor songs and buried dreams.

Until, centuries later… ghost lights shimmered once more on the horizon.

  • The Founding of Port Isabel

Visual: Galleons on a dark sea, glowing bay ahead

Scroll effect: Mist clears to reveal city ruins in moonlight

    Text:

In 1521, Magellan’s crew sighted strange lights dancing above the ocean.

Skeptical yet desperate, they followed the glow into a sheltered bay and found a city—half-devoured by time.

Despite curses and omens, Spain established Port Isabel, a colonial outpost boasting a grand cathedral and palace.

But pirates, storms, and imperial decline soon returned the land to silence.

  • Visual: Explorer in old-world garb with map, ruins, and camera

Scroll effect: Ruins overlay with architectural blueprints as they restore

    Text:

In 1858, an eccentric visionary named Mr. Veduto arrived in search of lost civilizations.

Entranced by the beauty of Aureum, he pledged to restore it—brick by brick, garden by garden.

Architects, botanists, and artisans came together to rebirth the island as a cultural haven.

In 1897, Bohemia, the new capital, opened its gates with the Saturnalia World’s Fair, celebrating a new age of wonder.

  • Visual: Bustling city streets, domed towers, jazz cafes, electric trams

Scroll effect: Day transitions to night; lanterns light up, people appear

    Text:

Through the early 20th century, Bohemia flourished.

Artists, architects, dreamers, and rebels found solace in its promenades, tea gardens, and sculpture walks.

A city designed not for power, but for the human spirit—where every vista inspired and every brick whispered legacy.

  • Visual: Mushroom cloud over the horizon, shadows spreading across buildings

Scroll effect: City turns grayscale, vines creep in, glitch-like effects

    Text:

In 1945, the Trinity Detonation awakened something ancient.

Deep beneath the ocean, a pathogen stirred—released into water, air, and blood.

It did not kill quickly. It unraveled minds, memory, and meaning.

Bohemia was sealed, quarantined, and left to legend once more.

  • Visual: Modern researchers with flashlights in overgrown ruins

Scroll effect: Lights reveal murals, sketches, artifacts

    Text:

In 1987, a San Francisco research lab dared to return.

What they found remains locked behind sealed archives—fragments of history, sketches of forgotten architecture, and clues to something more…

    Bohemia endures.

The city awaits its next chapter.
